Norton Public Library is recruiting up to 25 volunteers to help staff our Summer Reading Program. Do you need community service hours? Want to get out of the house over the summer, lend your special talents, meet cool people, and do all sorts of fun stuff? You've come to the right place.

We're looking for people who:

  • have a positive attitude
  • enjoy being around kids of all ages
  • take direction well
  • can work independently and in teams
  • can commit to 2+ hours per week from June 27 - August 12

What does the Summer Volunteer Crew do?

  • register people for the summer reading program
  • check reading logs and hand out prizes
  • help people find books
  • keep the library tidy
  • organize stuff
  • set up and break down chairs and tables for events indoors and outside
  • assist children with activities during programs
  • decorate the library
  • design graphics for fliers and social media
