Ask a Librarian!
Our Youth Services Librarian, Director, and Adult Services Librarian would all love to help you with:
"When you absolutely positively have to know, ask a librarian."
Choose Elementary, Middle, or High School level searches to find quick answers or get in-depth information about a wide range of subjects. This is also a great place to get photos, maps, or videos for use in presentations.
DKfindout! is an interactive, visually appealing free online encyclopedia. Information is geared towards students in grades 3-6.
Search Kids InfoBits for online newspaper and magazine articles or encyclopedia entries on people, geography, health, social studies, science, sports, current events, and more. Age-appropriate for Kindergarten through 5th grade. Also includes a dictionary search and a Teacher Toolbox!
Biography in Context offers great information on famous lives. Research people by name, OR by occupation, nationality, or gender. Want to study a female soccer player? An author from Portugal? A native American musician? You can find your subject here.
Many more research databases are available to you anywhere in Massachusetts through the library's website, for students and adult learners. Topics range from literature to health, culinary arts, history, and many more.
Brought to you by the Massachusetts Board of Library Commissioners and Massachusetts Library System with state funds and federal Institute of Museum and Library
