 Directions to the Norton Library

The Norton Public Library is located at 68 East Main Street (Rt. 123) in Norton.

We are located next to the Norton Fire Department and down the street from 
Wheaton College and the 123/140 intersection.
Take 495 South to 123 West and the library is 1.5 miles from the exit.
Take the Wheaton College exits from all highways.

  REGULAR HOURS:

Monday: 10am - 5pm Tuesday: 10am - 8pm Wednesday: 10am - 8pm
Thursday: 10am - 8pm Friday: 10am - 5pm Saturday: 9-3

STARTING JULY 1, 2008
 

Based on the Town Meeting vote of May 12th, as per the recommendations of the
Town Manager and the Finance Committee,
the Norton Public Library's budget has been cut 35% for
FY 2009.

THEREFORE: beginning July 1, 2008 the Norton Public Library will only be open

Mondays   10-5
Tuesdays  12-7
Wednesday  10-6
Thursdays 10-2

The Library will be closed on Saturdays beginning June 28th.

HOW TO GET A LIBRARY CARD


You must apply in person. Bring identification such as a driver's license or a piece of mail which has your current address on it. Fill out an application form and you will receive your library card in just a few minutes.  New patrons will also receive a welcome packet, 
courtesy of the Friends of the Norton Public Library.

Children, age 5 and up, may receive library cards. 
Parents will be asked to sign a release so that first time library-card holders
 may be listed in the Norton Mirror.

The Norton Public Library is a member of SAILS, which is a nonprofit consortium of libraries in communities in Southeastern Massachusetts. It links libraries together through a computer network and allows them to share materials and services. 
Over a million items are available to you when you use your Norton Public Library card. 
You must have your library card with you when you visit the library 
to check out items and to use the computers!
